در روزهای گذشته, متنی برای تمرین ارایه شد. در این پست ترجمه آن را در اختیار شما قرار میدهیم.

The boy saw a man appear behind the counter.

پسرک مردی را دید که پشت پیشخوان ظاهر شد.

"I can clean up those glasses in the window, if you want," said the boy. "The way they look now, nobody wants to buy them.

"من میتونم اون لیوانهای پشت پنجره رو تمیز کنم, اگه بخواید", پسرک گفت. "این جوری که الان هستند, هیچکس نمیخواد اونها رو بخره"

The man looked at him without responding.

مرد به اون نگاه کرد بدون اینکه جوابی بده.

 

"In exchange, you could give me something to eat."

"در عوض شما میتونید یه چیزی برای خوردن به من بدید"

The man still said nothing and the boy sensed that he had to make a decision himself. Taking the jacket out, he began to clean the glasses.

مرد همچنان چیزی نگفت و پسرک حس کرد که خودش باید تصمیم بگیره (دست به کار بشه). بعد از درآوردن ژاکت, شروع کرد به تمیز کردن لیوانها.

After completing the cleaning, he asked the man for something to eat. "Let's go and have lunch," said the crystal merchant.

بعد از تمام کردن تمیزکاری, از مرد چیزی برای خوردن خواست. "بریم ناهار بخوریم", فروشنده کریستال گفت.

He put a sign on the door, and they went to a small cafe nearby. As they sat down at the only table in the place, the crystal merchant laughed.

او (فروشنده) یک تابلویی روی در قرار داد و آنها به کافه کوچکی در آن نزدیکیها رفتند. بعد از اینکه آنها روی تنها صندلی که آنجا بود نشستند, فروشنده کریستال خندید.

"You didn't have to do any cleaning," he said. "The Koran requires me to feed a hungry person."

"مجبور نبودی چیزی رو تمیز کنی", او (فروشنده) گفت. "قرآن به من دستور داده که به آدم گرسنه غذا بدم"

"Well then, why did you let me do it?" the boy asked.

"اگه اینطوره, چرا گذاشتید تمیز کنم؟" پسرک پرسید.

"Because the crystal was dirty. And both you and I needed to cleanse our minds of negative thoughts."

"چون (ظرف) کریستال کثیف بود. و هر دوی ما احتیاج داشتیم ذهنامون رو از فکرهای منفی پاک کنیم"
